Our Carderock community has a full calendar of events -- cookouts at the pool, seasonal kids and family activities, and special events sponsored by the Carderock Springs Citizens' Association like our International Potluck Dinner and Newcomers' Welcome Dinner. Are you curious about your neighbor’s renovation? For the first time in two years, select properties in our neighborhood are OPEN – and we have treats!
WHAT: The Carderock Springs Home & Garden Innovations Tour, brought to you by the CSCA and the Village Gardening Interest Group. Get an exclusive glimpse into home additions, kitchen and bath renovations, new decks, gardens and more.
WHEN: Saturday, June 7 from 1-4 pm
WHERE: Homes and gardens across Carderock Springs
WHY: We have an exciting lineup! In 2025, in addition to showcasing beautiful new remodeling, the Home & Garden Tour will be expanded to include innovations. Most property owners will be on site to answer questions.
HOW: See links to a map and property information.
- Registration will be on-site at each of the homes.
- There will be an optional check-in station at the Carderock Springs Swim and Tennis Club, where you can find paper maps and other information.
COST: Suggested donations to the Cabin John Volunteer Fire Department (visit https://www.cjpvfd.org/donate/).
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Volunteer to help greet neighbors for an hour at tour stops, leaving plenty of time to see the rest of the featured properties. Here is the link to sign up.
OTHER HELPFUL INFORMATION:
- If you get hungry or thirsty along the way, this year we have food and drinks set up at select locations (see map).
- We love your furry friends but only humans are welcome on the properties in the tour.
- This event will go on rain or shine.

PAST EVENTS
2025 Carderock Springs Graduation Celebration Tuesday, June 3
We invited all neighborhood graduates and their families to come together at the Carderock Springs Swim and Tennis Club for pizza and cupcakes! 60-80 people attended the event. Our celebrate students completed milestones ranging from pre-school to a PhD! Photos coming soon.
Spring 2025 International Potluck Dinner at the Club
The 2025 International Potluck Dinner was held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Carderock Springs Swim and Tennis Club (8200 Hamilton Spring Ct). It was a great success! Everyone brought an appetizer, dessert, or entrée that represents a country close to their heart—or one they simply enjoy. We had over 80 attendees representing over 20 countries—a true celebration of our diverse community!
