Carderock Springs Citizens Association Summer Events - New Dates!
With tremendous gratitude to outgoing CSCA Social Chair Kimberly Young, a new Social Committee is now formed! Members are: Stephanie Land (chair), Denise Beckles Durham, Malinda Brent, Erica Hart, and Karen Ringo. We are busy planning two events!
2025 Carderock Springs Graduation Celebration Tuesday, June 3 from 530-730 pm
We invite all neighborhood graduates and their families to come together at the Carderock Springs Swim and Tennis Club for pizza and cupcakes! Any student graduating from public or private 5th grade, 8th grade, high school, college, or a similar educational milestone is invited.
Each graduate is also welcome to invite an important teacher or school staff member. During the event we will announce the graduates and take a group photograph.

The Home & Garden Innovations Tour on June 7 from 1-4pm *new date and time*
INVITING HOMEOWNERS
In 2025, in addition to showcasing beautiful remodeling, the Home & Garden Tour will be expanded to include innovations. Have you found great baby-proofing solutions? Created a music room?
Other examples of home innovations are: mold and water remediation, storage solutions, and craft rooms. And in addition to beautiful gardens, other garden innovations are welcome too, including mosquito prevention, firepits, hummingbird habitats, and native plant landscaping. The result doesn’t have to be beautiful to be included – we can all learn from each other!
All homes in the Carderock community are welcome in the tour, including Carderock South and non-Bennett homes.

INVITING BAKE SALES, LEMONADE STANDS, MARKET STANDS...
And what if you are hungry or thirsty while walking between homes on the tour? Neighborhood families and food/beverage purveyors are invited to create market tables – think lemonade, baked goods, bubble tea, coffee, or fresh produce and flowers. Table hosts can choose whether sales are for profit or to benefit the Cabin John Volunteer Fire Department.

Spring 2025 International Potluck Dinner at the Club
The 2025 International Potluck Dinner was held on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Carderock Springs Swim and Tennis Club (8200 Hamilton Spring Ct). It was a great success! Everyone brought an appetizer, dessert, or entrée that represents a country close to their heart—or one they simply enjoy. We had over 80 attendees representing over 20 countries—a true celebration of our diverse community!
